কুড়িগ্রাম শহরের অন্যতম প্রাণকেন্দ্র কলেজ মোড়। এই কলেজ মোড়ের পাশেই রয়েছে এই গাছ বেচাকেনার জায়গা। সারি সারি মৃত গাছ বিক্রির অপেক্ষায় পড়ে আছে। আমার কাছে মনে হয়েছে পড়ে আছে যেন সারি সারি লাশ। মানুষের লাশ যদি এভাবে পড়ে থাকতো তাহলে আমাদের মনে যেরকম প্রতিক্রিয়া হতো, গাছের লাশ দেখে আমাদের মধ্যে তেমন ভাবান্তর হয় না কেন?

Our hearts ache at the sight of the fallen trees.These trees ,I assume, are pretty old. They are witnesses of the ups and downs of Kurigram.It would have been better if they were retained.Otherwise, the expression 'sustainable development'makes no sense.
